Orthotics is an effective treatment plan to generally correct disorders and increase the efficiency of function during acute or long-term injury. This includes soft-tissue and boney injury, as well as changes as a result of neurological changes.
At Bionic we understand the pain and discomfort poor biomechanics can cause. We use years of experience and knowledge to assess our patients lifestyle and needs before guiding them to a personalised solution.
Bionic Orthotists are specialists in the provision of both in house custom made orthotics, as well as the fitting and modification of prefabricated orthotic devices with components sourced from around the world.
As everyone has different levels of pain/discomfort, similarly the solution provided needs to be tailored according to the specific person’s needs. That is why, custom orthotics are obtained from the impression or measurement of the patients body part either through casting process or digital impression. Our highly-qualified staff utilise industry knowledge and quality components to bring you the best in orthotic care.
Cranial Remolding Helmet
The Cranial Molding Helmet treats deformational plagiocephaly, brachycephaly, or scaphocephaly in children ages 4 to 12 months. All of our Cranial Molding Helmets are custom-fabricated.
Cervical Orthosis
From muscle spasm to instabilities, cervical orthosis is prescribed for a range of neck problems. The main objective that lies behind cervical orthosis is to relax and give support to the muscles thereby preventing any further inflammation. It has a perfect anatomical design that provides proper rest and comfort to the chin while allowing for immobilizing.
Back braces
Almost every one of us has been affected by the pandemic directly as well as indirectly. Most of us have been forced to work from our homes resulting in back and neck pain. There is a constant increase for over the counter back braces to overcome the pain and improve their productivity at work. A back brace helps in a wide spectrum of conditions by limiting the back movement and providing support.
Cockup Splint
Wrist injuries can be caused due to various reasons like putting too much pressure on it, repetitive use or injury during any physical activity. Cockup splints can be used after traumatic rehabilitation process to get the injured wrist back into its original position. It enables the wrist and hand to be in ’cocked up’ position to immobilize the wrist during the healing process. Thanks to the Velcro and lace up closure system, the splints can be easily put on and removed. Cockup splints are a perfect aid to restore the muscle motion.
Static Elbow Orthosis
The elbow joint is critical as it supports the forearm and the upper arm. Joint stiffness may sometimes arise from numerous factors like trauma, neurological disorders or injuries etc. So, static elbow flexion can help in such situations to gain additional motion when traditional exercises don’t seem to be helpful after any injury. Made up of durable quality materials, static elbow orthosis provides maximum comfort and are lightweight yet strong.
Turnbuckle Orthosis
Turn buckle Orthosis is an effective method to treat elbow stiffness. It reduces the bending of the hand while giving a stretch in the elbow. The orthosis allows a greater degree of motion by providing static degree of motion. The turn buckle orthosis can be adjusted from 0 degrees to 110 degree of flexion.
Humerus Fracture Brace
The humerus bone is the longest in our body and connects the shoulder to the elbow joint. Any injury in this bone can cause a fracture and will require around 12 weeks’ time to heal properly in order to gain its strength back. The humerus fracture brace helps to immobilize the bone and provides support to the shoulder.
Spinal Orthosis
Spinal orthosis is basically a device to correct and support the spine of an individual. It can also be used in lower limb orthosis to reduce disabilities caused by back pain, scoliosis or other skeletal disorders. The spinal motion can be controlled easily with the help of orthosis.
Hip Solutions
Hip orthosis helps in treating numerous medical conditions and injuries including hip dislocation, fractures, osteoarthritis, congenital dysplasia etc. The orthosis protects the hip and the pelvis by redistributing their pressures thereby providing stability to the knee. It also provides a symmetrical gait pattern.
Back brace also helps in correcting the posture which has been affected by excessive slouching.
SAEBO Glove
A cutting edge device that helps people with neurological as well as orthopedic injuries can be benefitted with SAEBO gloves. The light weight design of this glove is one of the most innovative features of it. It helps in extending the fingers including the thumb so that the affected limb can perform the specific function. It helps in better functioning of the hand
